PHNOM PENH: The daughter of former comedian Phorn Sophary, has been receiving a lot of support from the public after being the subject of heated discussion on social media. The majority of the public have condemned the negative comments made about the two-year-old child.

Comedian Phorn Sophary's second daughter, Vanna Rary, also known as Ellie, has been gaining a lot of support from the public for being cute and smart. However, recently the child has been receiving criticisms because of a video where she is seen spitting at her family.

After the video clip was shared, some social media users criticized Phorn Sophary's family for not disciplining her child well.

The comedian explained that her daughter, who has the blood of an entertainer, has provided laughter to the public but is still a child that is growing.

"Ellie is a two-year-old girl with entertainment talents that bring laughter and happiness to everyone, but she is still a small child who has the right to be supported, encouraged, and disciplined," wrote Phorn Sophary in a Facebook post. "People who have a biased mind and have used inappropriate language against her should also consider whether insulting children is a respectable act or not."

The former entertainer also apologized on her daughter's behalf and asked people not to be prejudiced as she is still young.

"On behalf of my family, I would like to thank all of Ellie's fans who love her. My family will work hard to guide her to become a role model and a capable person," she said. "As for negative comments, please be aware that children have the right to be protected and educated and should not be the subject of jokes by any person. Thank you!!"

Some netizens reacted to those negative comments by saying, "She's just two years old."

The owner of Natural Beauty also posted a message saying, "She's just a two-year-old child. Her parents will not let their children be undisciplined. I hope everyone does not mind her. If you are close to her family, you will know how respectable they are."
